    A baroque oboe d'amore after Eichentopf at a=415 (baroque pitch) by English maker Tony Millyard, available in unstained or stained boxwood. This oboe d’amore is after the Eichentopf model in the museum in Venice. The oboe d’amore is in the key of A, sounding a minor third below the normal C oboe. Although used mainly for playing Bach cantatas and his sacred pieces they were also used by other composers of the early 18th Century. It is made of boxwood* and comes supplied with a soft roll case, reed, reed case, fingering chart and a document on how to care for the oboe. The staple/bocal is made with a slight bend to bring the instrument to a more comfortable playing position and the doubled hole three is made slightly off centre to bring this hole more easily to hand. This oboe d’amore is a fantastic instrument at an affordable price and has received excellent reviews.

    A Baroque Oboe da Caccia after Eichentopf a415 by Millyard by English maker Tony Millyard. This Oboe da Caccia is after the instrument by Eichentopf in the museum in Stockholm in Sweden and is available at a415. The Oboe da Caccia is in the key of F, sounding a fifth below the normal C oboe. Although used mainly for playing Bach cantatas, his Christmas Oratorio and Easter Passion pieces, they were also used by other composers of the early 18th Century. They are made from a combination of sycamore with African Blackwood or English Boxwood detailing, and the main body is covered in leather. Our da Caccia comes supplied with a very sturdy semi-rigid case, 2 reeds and a fingering chart. The finger holes have been set out to facilitate playing by players with small hands.
