Finance Options

We have various finance options available at the Early Music Shop for our UK customers. 

  • Buy Now Pay Later 
  • Loan
  • Take it away
  • Assisted Instrument Purchase Scheme

Some of these are available to all UK customers and some are specifically aimed at young people. Please read through the summaries below to learn more about the different options and what is available to you.

Buy Now Pay Later

Available to all UK customers. Minimum order value is £35.*

Buy Now Pay Later finance is provided by our partner Klarna. It is interest free credit and requires a UK debit or credit card. There are two options available:

  • Pay in 3 instalments - 1/3 every 30 days
  • Buy Now - Pay 30 days later

Loan

Available to all UK customers*

You can apply for a loan with OmniCapital finance both in our stores or online. These loans have a fixed interest rate of 9.9% APR. There are three options available on purchases over £100:

  • 12 months
  • 24 months
  • 36 months

Take it away

Available on purchases for under 18s or people aged 18-25 

Take it away is a scheme run by the Arts Council to help provide access to music for young people. It provides interest free credit for all musical purchases between £100-£5000 with a minimum 10% deposit.

  •  9 months interest free 
  • 18 months interest free

Assisted Instrument Purchase Scheme (AIPS)

Available to pupils at local authority schools or music hubs.

Local schools or music hubs can order the instrument on your behalf. As they can claim back the VAT you pay them for the instrument without VAT - a saving of 16.67%.
