Please contact us if you are interested in reserving. 13 Course Baroque Lute after Tieffenbrucker by Matias Crom Baroque lute model inspired on a Tieffenbrucker using a "Martin Hoffman" style pegbox with extended string length for courses 9-13. String Length is 69cm making it very comfortable to play. The extended length for basses make the bass brighter and fuller and the "Swan neck" pegbox makes it easier to tune. Perfect for Weiss and Bach music, including continuo on the cantatas. String spacing at the bridge is 155mm. The bowl has 31 ribs and made from Maple and Pearwood with ebony spacers. The soundboard is made from the very best Austrian high mountain spruce with an original carved triple rose. Neck core is also spruce veneered with maple. Pegbox is carved from pearwood. This fifteen rib Sellas body results in a lute with a wide soundboard and a bowl that is not too deep, a feature that makes it particularly comfortable to hold despite its size. Due to its characteristics it is suitable for the construction of lutes that extend into the low register (8, and 10 course), as its size can give fullness and strength to the lower courses. Since 2001 he started working together with Stefano Zanderighi, a project that would eventually led to the birth of the Liuteria d’Insieme workshop in 2003. His work is characterised by great care in researching on original models and early building and painting methods. The instruments he builds are distinguished by their great fidelity to original models without losing sight of building details and characterised by a rich and dynamic sound.

    7 Course Renaissance Lute after Hans Frei by Marco Golinelli - Liuteria d'insieme including hard case. 7 courses lute, Hans Frei model, 11 ribs Wien, Kunsthistorisches Museum (C34) Inspired by the smaller of the two lutes by Hans Frei preserved in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, this eleven rib bowl is one of the most classic examples of the Bolognese lutemaking school of the first half of the sixteenth century. The relatively small size makes it convenient and easy to handle; it lends itself particularly well to the construction of six and seven courses lutes.
