Since the company founded in 1930 in Celle, Germany, recorders from the Moeck workshop have been used by students, amateurs and professionals alike. A family business now in the fourth generation, our interview with company director Jan Nikolai Haase also includes contributions from members of their close-knit team.
From entry-level instruments from their Flauto Rondo and Flauto 1 ranges, to the bestselling Rottenburgh model (used by players around the globe), Moeck offer instruments for all levels of players. Specialist models in the catalogue include Ehlert, a modern design combining elements of renaissance and baroque recorders for a powerful sound and extended range. The company also offer models based on historical designs by Hottetere, Kynseker, Denner, Stanesby and more...
We're grateful for the team at Moeck for taking the time to speak with us.
