The family brand mark was that of an anchor and there are three instruments, each bearing this mark, and thought to be by Jean Hotteterre upon which this particular instrument is based. Two of the originals are in the Musee de la Musique in Paris, the other is in the Frans Bruggen collection in Amsterdam.
