Over the years Moeck have been perfecting their student Flauto Rondo range, and the result is reliable, balanced recorders that are easy and enjoyable to play. 

This Moeck 2322 Flauto Rondo alto is made of pearwood, and is an ideal wooden recorder for the improving player who requires a more flexible tone with increased dynamic potential. It is comfortable to hold and allows for easy fingering. These recorders are suitable instruments for ensemble playing, with its balanced tone across the registers blending well within an ensemble. 

This recorder has a double bottom key for F/F# to aid with reach.

This recorder comes with a cotton bag with leather edging, cleaning rod and cloth, cork grease, fingering chart and maintenance instructions.

Plastic Recorder Player Goes Wooden

As a teacher of all the woodwind instruments, I've shied away from buying a wooden recorder in the past because I didn't feel I could give it the care and attention it deserved. However, now that I've been diagnosed with arthritis and the other instruments are becoming challenging, I decided to focus more on my flute and recorder playing as they're less painful than the reed instruments. Time to finally upgrade! It's also why I picked this particular Flauto Rondo Alto with keys so as to put even less pressure on my fingers and so far that seems to be the case, even if the F and F# are the opposite way around to usual. I've been carefully following the playing in instructions and am loving the tone of this recorder and enjoying hearing it subtly change and improve as time goes on. I would definitely recommend and have already earmarked a Moeck soprano to buy later this year too.

Moscow alto recorder

Excellent quality and tone. Great having the two bottom keys for more versatility and clean sound at the bottom register.

Excellent instrument

I’m still playing in this instrument but so far I am delighted with it, it has a beautiful tone and the key for lower “f” makes playing really comfortable. A little tight to take apart and put together but hopefully this will get better the more I play it. Overall very pleased! Excellent service and speedy delivery!

Lovely sound!

I'm new to the alto recorder, and the sound of this one is lovely and mellow. I'm delighted to have one with double keys which helps with the finger stretch - quite big for my small hands. It's very aesthetically pleasing too. The joints, however, are very, VERY tight, even after lubricating. But overall, very pleased.
