Recorder31 Day 23 | Win Tickets to see Erik Bosgraaf at LIFEM23!
The Early Music Shop is a proud supporter of the London International Festival of Early Music, which this year celebrates its 50th Anniversary festival from 8-11 November. Today's Recorder31 features a special message from Erik Bosgraaf, who will perform a headline concert at this year's festival.
We have two tickets for Erik Bosgraaf's performance to give away to a lucky reader, along with a CD copy of his latest album!
Erik Bosgraaf sends us this special message ahead of the concert:
After years of not performing in Great Britain I am very happy to return with a performance at the Barbican with BBC Symphony Orchestra (Anna Meredith's recorder concerto) and the closing concert of LIFEM, combined with being in the jury for the Moeck/SRP recorder competition! The concert at LIFEM will be with the amazing Wrocław Baroque Orchestra, dedicated entirely to the music of Antonio Vivaldi. I will play my arrangement of the Four Seasons and lead the orchestra in a few instrumental works. Hope to see you there!
WIN! Two tickets to Erik Bosgraaf's concert at St Michael & All Angels Church, Blackheath, London on Saturday 11 November, and a CD copy of "JS Bach Concertos for Recorder Vol 2" by Erik Bosgraaf.
To be in with the chance of winning, simply share our posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and then add a comment telling us the best recorder concert you've ever attended!
Entries will be accepted until 23:59 PT on Friday 25th August. Get sharing – good luck!

The Sound of Recorder Music!
Each day this month we're highlighting an audio clip of a recorder from our extensive range. We've already featured the Zen-On Bressan Alto, but here's the popular version at a415 pitch. It's the only plastic a415 alto in our catalogue and a great recorder to first access Baroque pitch work, or to use as a practice instrument. Listen to the clips below or follow this link to find out more about this instrument.
