This professional, handmade alto recorder by Martin Wenner is after a recorder made by Jan Steenbergen (1676 – 1752). A very beautifully crafted and well-preserved recorder can be found in the collection of F. Bruggen, who also used it on his recordings.
Wenner's reproduction is at modern pitch and maintains many playing and sound characteristics of the original. This Steenbergen copy is made in plumwood which has a full, round tone and it gives you a full dynamic and expressive sound range to explore.
This recorder comes in an attractive cloth roll case, with a cleaning stick and Wenner's beautifully scented recorder oil.
