Kit for making a Tenor Rebec

I bought the kit recently as it was cheaper than buying a Tenor Rebec already made up. It is in a plush velvet bag, virtually already made in that it is already shaped, with the pieces ready, just requiring sanding, assembling and stringing...I think…I’ve only got as far as sanding the main body of the instrument. The instructions are immense and require lots of reading in order to decipher which step to do first, second, third and so on. I bought all the tools on the list only to find that I only need the sandpaper…so far. It requires organisation of mind and time, which is easily done if I just get on with it. I hope then to play the instrument sometime this year. I am very happy with my purchases of instruments (already assembled) from The Early Music Shop in Suffolk and with my online purchase of the Tenor Rebec Kit. I would recommend this kit to anyone who likes wood and woodwork and early medieval and Tudor music.
