Mollenhauer 4119. Adri's Dream recorder soprano (descant) c'', pearwood, renaissance (wide) bore, baroque fingering, double holes.

Made from pearwood with dark stained rings, this is an ideal first recorder for teaching in groups or classes, the large finger holes making it ideal for children. Produced in collaboration with reputable Dutch recorder maker Adriana Breukink, the Dream range is a popular choice of instrument with all levels of player. Based on the renaissance style after van Eyck it has a wide bore giving it a broad, full sound, but has conventional baroque fingering. This results in a sound that is full and powerful like the renaissance originals but with an easy response over two octaves. The Dream recorder is also popular with folk musicians who require a louder instrument for performance with amplified instruments.

With cotton bag, mop, cork grease, fingering chart, maintenance instructions.

Really lovely and loud!

Very comfortable. It needs a little bit more air due to its very wide bore. It’s got a lovely sound and fits in very well with a folk group. Lovely padded case , I highly recommend this!

Mollenhauer Dream Soprano Recorder Pearwood Double Holes

Excellent. The tone is good, the low notes sound easily and fully, while the high notes are still available, and the price was very reasonable, particularly as it included a case. I look forward to playing for longer once the 'running-in' period is over.

The Dream.

After playing this recorder in, it opened and blossomed into a wide harmonic sound. My background is in Shakuhachi and concert flute as well as electronic synthesizers so I was looking for an instrument that could push the outer limits. This recorder so far has met all of my challenges and I’ve only had it for two weeks. I liked it so much that I bought the alto version in Plumwood. Keep in mind that my ultimate goal is not in ensemble playing, but solo work, ultimately utilizing affect pedals and loopers to create meditative textures and soundscapes. I have no doubt that it will exceed any challenge I give it.
