A facsimile reproduction of the first edition, with an introductory note by Gwilym Beechey and Thurston Dart. This set of sonatas first appeared in 1756 when Thomas Arne (1710-78) was at the height of his fame as a composer for the theatre and a performer on the harpsichord.
