Fehr "Model 4" Alto Recorder in Grenadilla

Fantastic recorder

I went into the Early Music Shop and tried some recorders. I started at the lower end of wooden instruments and worked my way up the different options until I came across the Fehr model 4. It was a joy to play and is beautifully made. I tried the different wood options and settled on the Grenadilla. this had the most mellow and smooth sound. I was well advised by EMS on how to gradually introduce the instrument to being played, and how to look after it. A gem of an instrument Oliver sax, clarinet and flute player
