Recorders by Zen-On

Introducing the newest additions to the hugely popular range of Zen-On recorders alongside the G1A Bressan altos which have established themselves as two of the finest altos on the market. The new wooden recorders are designed after originals by Bressan by esteemed Japanese maker Takeyama and produced by Zen-On. They possess a rich sound with lots of overtones and are very responsive.

Hiroyuki Takeyama studied recorder making with Friedrich von Huene in the late 1970s and developed his first Bressan model alto recorder in 1981. Around this time he also worked with renowned Australian recorder maker Fred Morgan, and subsequently went on to become a prodigious maker in his own right, playing a major role in promoting the recorder worldwide, and a well known face at all important recorder events in Japan and overseas.
