This Renaissance model is based on drawings taken from 'Syntagma Musicum' (1618) by Michael Praetorius. Kobliczek recorders are made by German maker Christoph Hammann and his team. These Renaissance recorders have large cylindrical bores which produce a characteristically strong tone. Made from stained maple, this recorder has excellent intonation over a full two octave range. This renaissance recorder has single holes but uses standard baroque fingering. N.B. This renaissance alto (in F) is in 2-pieces. Kobliczek recorders are made by German maker Christoph Hammann and his team. These Renaissance recorders have large cylindrical bores which produce a characteristically strong tone. There is a bottom single key for F, styled with a double prong and hidden by a fontanelle, as were the originals. The Bressan recorders by Blezinger are instruments made in cooperation with one of the best German industrial recorder makers. As the name implies the instruments are modelled after originals by P. I. Bressan. The recorders have a typically easy response and excellent tuning, combined with a rich and colourful sound. The project is based on Stephan Blezinger’s extensive knowledge of instruments by P.I.Bressan and decades of making entirely handcrafted recorders. The most recent high precision woodwork technology as well as intensive research into treatment of woods are combined with highly skilled workmanship in the hand-finishing of every single instrument – exactly the same processes as handmade recorders.
