    Mollenhauer 4607 Kynseker great bass in C, maple, with key and fontanelle. A full renaissance sound with much character and depth, baroque fingering, and a range of two octaves. Suitable for renaissance or early baroque consort music as well as solo music from early and modern periods. The production of a complete consort of recorders after the design by Hieronymus F. Kynseker (1636-1686), in the German National Museum in Nuremberg, is perhaps one of Mollenhauer’s finest achievements. Faithful to the originals, the instruments have a narrow arched windway, a strong sound that is particularly noteworthy in the lower register and a full two octave range using fingering similar to the baroque system.   • Kobliczek Renaissance Gt Bass with Fontanelle in Maple

    This Renaissance model is based on drawings taken from 'Syntagma Musicum' (1618) by Michael Praetorius. Kobliczek recorders are made by German maker Christoph Hammann and his team. These Renaissance recorders have large cylindrical bores which produce a characteristically strong tone. Made from stained maple, this recorder has excellent intonation over a full two octave range. This renaissance recorder has single holes but uses standard baroque fingering. There is a bottom single key for C styled with a double prong and hidden by a fontanelle, as were the originals. This Gt bass recorder is supplied in a hard case with cork grease, cleaning rod and fingering chart.
