Bizzi Harpsichords

For many years The Early Music Shop has represented harpsichords and spinets made by the Italian makers Bizzi Clavicembali and we are very proud of the association. Established in 1975 by Guido Bizzi, today the firm is a truly family affair and Guido is ably assisted by his wife Luisa and sons Lorenzo and Vittorio, operating from the beautiful and picturesque setting of the Villa Bossi in Bodio Lomnago, just north of Milan in sight of lake Varese.
 
Their instruments can be found in conservatoires, concert halls and collections all over the world and distinguished artists associated with Bizzi include Pierre Hantai, Ton Koopman, Gustav Leonhardt, Bart van Oort, and Kenneth Gilbert, among many others.
 
The Early Music Shop has a wide selection of harpsichords and spinets pictured below, including in kit form, and we are showcasing these unique and individual instruments in store and online.
