About Saltaire Recorder Weekend 2027

Saltaire Recorder Weekend 4-6 June 2027 • Saltaire, West Yorkshire

Join us for a full weekend of music-making, inspiration and discovery. The Saltaire Recorder Weekend brings players of all levels together for three days of:

• Playing sessions led by a team of expert tutors, all levels, featuring Anna Stegmann, Annabel Knight, Chris Orton, Miriam Monaghan, Fiona Kizzie Lee and Heidi Fardell (more to be announced)
• Evening concerts – Friday (artists to be announced) and Saturday (featuring Anna Stegmann) – included with weekend/day tickets
• Shops – browse, try and buy from makers, shops and sheet music suppliers
• Fringe performances across the weekend
• Social gatherings and networking with fellow recorder enthusiasts

Now a firm fixture in the recorder calendar, we can’t wait for you to join us at Saltaire Recorder Weekend 2027! Whether you’re a keen amateur, a seasoned player or simply curious, you’ll find fresh ideas, new music and a warm welcome in historic Saltaire.

Our headline concert on Saturday night will feature Anna Stegmann (The Royal Wind Music, Ensemble Odyssee) – further details of Anna's programme and collaborators to be confirmed. We also have some wonderful performers lined up for our Friday night opening concert – but you will need to wait a little while to find out who! Check back soon for updates...

The main festival activities will take place in the Titus Salt School, which is just a short five-minute drive (or ten-minute walk) from The Early Music Shop’s showroom at Salts Mill.

Festival Passes: the full weekend booking covers entry to all sessions, workshops and performances. It also includes lunch and evening meal on Saturday, lunch on Sunday and the Friday evening welcome reception. 

Full weekend ticket (Fri-Sun): £225

Saturday only: £130

Sunday only: £100

Observer Tickets – covers entry to evening concerts, meals (lunch and evening meal on Saturday, lunch on Sunday and Friday evening reception), and observation of workshops/sessions (space permitting):

Observer Full Weekend (Fri-Sun): £85

Observer Saturday only: £55

Observer Sunday only: £40

Youth Tickets (Age 18 and under)

Youth Full Weekend (Fri-Sun): £110

Youth Saturday only: £70

Youth Sunday only: £45

Please note that any attendees under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by a chaperone. Chaperones do not require a separate ticket, however will need to purchase an Observer ticket, if required.
