This week, we're inviting you to submit your videos of any piece from Jacob Van Eyck's Der Fluyten Lust-Hof. This competition is open to players of all levels – if you only feel able to play the main theme, or fewer variations, that's fine! We're looking for musicality, phrasing and some degree of personal interpretation.
You choose which tune – how many of the 143 will we hear?

Jacob Van Eyck (1590-1657) was a musician and composer who lived in Utrecht in The Netherlands. A player of carillon and recorder, he is best known for his collection of tunes and variations for recorder, Der Fluyten Lust-Hof. This publication, comprised of folk tunes, church songs and more, remains the largest collection of music in history for a single wind instrument by a single composer.

The Mollenhauer Dream range was developed in collaboration with the late, great Adriana Breukink. Read this week's Featured Maker interview with Mollenhauer's Nik Tarasov to find out more about these wonderful instruments.
First Prize – Mollenhauer Dream Edition Soprano in Plumwood (middle)
Second Prize – Mollenhauer Dream Soprano in Wood/Plastic, Red Finish (bottom)
Third Prize – Mollenhauer Dream Soprano in Red Glitter Plastic (top)
Owing to their wide bore and large finger holes, these instruments are perfectly suited to playing Renaissance, Medieval and folk repertoire. They have a strong sound which projects well in ensemble settings. The Dream Edition is made of sweet-sounding plumwood, and comes with an attractive leather case. Meanwhile, the plastic headjoint of the other instruments offers a low-maintenance option which is also great for playing outdoors!
