Christiane is a Norwegian violinist and violin teacher based in London. She enjoys a varied performing career on the most exciting stages all over Europe, she has recently played at the Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Musikverein Vienna, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Cite de la Musique Paris. She performs regularly with Academy of Ancient Music, Orchestra of The Age of Enlightenment and Classical Opera/The Mozartists with whom she has appeared on numerous recordings.
Performance Highlights of 2019 include Mozart Magic Flute with film relay from Glyndebourne Opera Festival, playing Grieg with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (2020 before covid-19 struck), and a live tour throughout the UK including Ireland with Sophie Ellis-Baxtor.
A keen chamber musician, Christiane plays in several chamber groups specialising in historical performance, including Freithoff Ensemble (Norway), Royal Baroque (UK) and Istante (UK).
