Bass recorder sling

I found it was too short. Getting to Early Music shop by bus is complicated for me and I don't have a car. I managed to alter the strap.

Bass Recorder sling

The sling has a simple but ingenious mechanism that allows it to be easily adjusted over an exceptionally wide range of lengths, and to securely support any weight of bass recorder. The weight of my Great Bass in C is also held perfectly securely, but comfort around the neck with such a load would require a stiffer strap, rather than a ribbon. The recorder attachment is a plain wire hook which would accommodate the ring fitting on any plastic or wooden bass. My only criticism is that initial assembly of the sling taxed my ingenuity. However, two days of frustration were well compensated by a final warm glow of self-satisfaction.
