While there are recorder models that are played today based on the ideas of historical instrument makers such as Rottenburgh, Denner, Kynseker, Bressan and others, Sigo goes its own way.
Sigo is a recorder model series developed in collaboration between Kunath Instrumentenbau and Geri Bollinger, one of Europe's leading recorder makers.
The F alto instrument has a slightly narrower finger width than a soprano (descant) recorder. The angled headjoint and the thumb rest, integrated into the body of the instrument, make the Sigo particularly ergonomic.
The body is made of RESONA, a material developed by Kunath Instrumentenbau from renewable raw materials.
The Sigo's 'folded' bore allows for it to have the same pitch as a standard alto recorder, whilst being much shorter in length.
The matt surface of the lower body and the thumb rest integrated into the body of the instrument make the Sigo range exceptionally comfortable to play.
