£154.17 excluding VAT (UK Export Price)

Immensely popular range of recorders originally designed by Friederich von Huene after models by Belgian maker Jean-Hyacinth-Joseph Rottenburgh (1672-1756). Versatile, reliable and used by all levels of players who enjoy instruments made to consistently high standards. They are without doubt the world's most successful recorder series and remain one of our best sellers. The Rottenburgh is the instrument of choice for those recorder players who wish to play music at an advanced level. It is a reliable instrument with a carrying tone, whether played in small or large ensembles. It also lends itself perfectly for solo pieces, e.g. for sonatas with basso continuo. The Rottenburgh is the ideal all rounder: reliable, balanced and with a full tone. Depending on the wood it has a warm full sound for ensemble playing and is beautifully clear and expressive as a solo instrument.

Beautiful in sound and look

Beautiful sound, well made and being three piece is perfect for getting positioning of the holes exactly where short fingers need them.

Moeck Rottenburgh Soprano Recorder in Pearwood

I purchased my recorder after speaking to someone in the shop for advice. I have only owned it for 1 week and love the feel and sound of it. I am only playing it for 5 minutes a day at present to 'condition' it and am looking forward to playing for a longer time as the weeks go by. It came in a black case which is well made and, compared to my plastic recorder, is a lovely instrument.

Love this instrument!

I am no recorder expert, but the school recorder we have just wasn’t giving me any motivation, so I jumped in and bought this. Very pleased to have it: it’s a pleasure to play (not very well), and feels like an investment in my enjoyment.
