Big step up

Ordering was very pleasant, and especially reassuring being able to call up and speak to Peter who was familiar with the model and the various makes, especially since I was buying as a present to my wife. It sounds SO GOOD. Granted, I dont play, and my wife used to only have her old plastic recorder. But wow - that's a difference. So much more rounded and soulful sound. She's welcome to practice anytime. Though no longer than 5 minutes a day for the first week, 10 mins the second, etc, as it acclimatises as per the Moek instructions.

Flatuo Rondo Recorder

Recently purchased an Alto Recorder from EMS. Very good quality and recorder produces a very good tone. Packaging was good.

Not what I hoped for

I bought the Rondo Sopranino recorder and the tenor as well as the Garklein, and was satisfied, but the alto was not as well made as hoped for. The bottom joint seems to have been fashioned crookedly and it is nearly impossible to play a steady note on it. When I do play a steady note, it is very weak and often squeaks. The recorder seems to respond very poorly to changes in temperature and can only be played for five minutes at a time, before being out of tune and playing inconsistently.
