About Lu-Mi

The Lu Mi range of instruments is the result of years of development and refinement overseen by Markku Luolajan-Mikkola, the leading Finnish gamba player. They are instruments designed by a player of distinction with other professional performers in mind, and are faithful to the authentic light construction techniques of early strings.

The cello has a very sweet tone and a beautiful resonance.

The cello has a very sweet tone and a beautiful resonance. At first I was surprised by the red colour of the cello, but it has a good appearance. It is well adjusted and smooth to use. The quality of the sound may be partly due to the setup. I would like to know the brand and gauge of the strings used in the setup. Otherwise it would probably be difficult to maintain.

A new companion to my amateur cello playing life!

I'm really glad I bought this charming well-made cello piccolo from the reliable, customer-friendly seller. I have started with some obligato solo pieces in Bach's cantatas. Every time I play the instrument, it helps me discover a lot about bowing, fingering, articulation and intonation.

This very neat Cello is suitable for transcribing Violin pieces for Cello.
