Küng's Superio series is based on original recorders by Stanesby Jnr. They have a wide, baroque bore which produces a strong sound, rich in overtones. These recorders have a large expressive range and will cope with the most demanding repertoire. The Superio recorders are highly ergonomic, with great attention given to comfort and the ease of fingering. The bass is a knick style bass which provides easy reach for the player and direct articulation.

This bass recorder is made of pearwood and comes in a hard case with a cleaning rod, cork grease, maintenance instructions, sling and a screw-in spike accessory.

Kung Superio Bass Recorder in Pearwood

I am very pleased with the above recorder. This is the second Kung bass recorder I have purchased from Early Music. However, I have been unable to use the spike with it because, at its shortest, I am still unable to play the recorder. It appears that Kung has done insufficient research into a length suitable for shorter players. This aspect has been very disappointing and I feel Early Music has to resolve this issue with Kung.
