Kobliczek Renaissance Tenor Recorder with Fontanelle in Maple (Previously Owned) in 'like new' condition, including original hard case. Fully serviced and revoiced by our in-house technician.
This Renaissance model is based on drawings taken from 'Syntagma Musicum' (1618) by Michael Praetorius. Kobliczek recorders are made by German maker Christoph Hammann and his team. These Renaissance recorders have large cylindrical bores which produce a characteristically strong tone. Made from stained maple, this recorder has excellent intonation over a full two octave range. This renaissance recorder has single holes but uses standard baroque fingering. There is a bottom single key for C, styled with a double prong and hidden by a fontanelle, as were the originals.
