So far finding my recorder has a beautiiful sound

J Wood Recorder is a delight!

I just received my J Wood Alto today, so I am being careful to play it in for no longer than five minutes to start, but I did scales on it alongside the same scales played on my Aulos 709B. The warmth of tone from the J Wood is far superior, and the feel of wood is a pleasant contrast to the resin of the Aulos 709B. I look forward to a very pleasurable progression as I continue my recorder journey. Can I leave a second review as I gain more familiarity with this beautiful instrument?

Alto Recorder in Maple - great product

Very happy with the recorder, great quality and just as described. I had not realised I was buying if from England, but it was delivered to the US in the time stated on the order. Packaging could have been a little more robust for such a journey, but it arrived in perfect condition.

Great value!

Attractive and lightweight, my alto recorder is a pleasure to play. It is still being played in and needs clearing frequently but I like the breathy tone. Am finding tone of a couple of higher notes more tricky to control. Great value and the really affordable price bridges a gap in the market.

My first wooden recorder!

Purchased this just over a week ago and am slowly playing it in and will be for some weeks. Definitely like the tone especially for the bottom notes and overall the EMS description of how it plays is spot on. Very good for an entry level wooden recorder at this price point. Will continue to play my Yamaha plastic alto alongside this one.
