Relevant and useful

This is a tutor from 1978, and there doesn't appear to be anything more recently published. The text is in English and in German, side by side. There are fingering charts for each instrument (not for baroque rackett, but these can be downloaded from the Moeck website). There is a historical discussion on each instrument as well as clear and useful instructions for beginners on controlling a double reed. There are exercises in all clefs that are suitable for learning fingering and intonation. There are not very many, and it is assumed that the reader has a knowledge of the general fingering pattern of woodwind instruments and notation reading. For someone with at least this background, there is enough material for the first few months of progress.
