The 211A 'Robin' Tenor plastic recorder from Aulos.

The Robin series offer exceptional quality at a very affordable price. The slightly smaller mouthpiece will be more comfortable for some players than traditionally sized tenor recorders. This right-hand hole positioning has been made to be more ergonomic than most keyless tenors.

This tenor is keyless and in three pieces. It is supplied with a brown, zip case, cleaning rod, thumb-rest, fingering chart and joint grease.

Dear EMS, my Aulos recorder was devine. Unfortunately, it was stolen, with my luggage, on a train, and I would like to buy a replacement. I'll order one on the phone...

Aulos 211 A Tenor Recorder

I bought the recorder with the purpose to play it to assist me in learning my choir tracks. I have played a soprano recorder before, however never a tenor recorder, so didn't know what to expect. Given the instrument is made of resin, the sound is still ok. The sound obtained from the lower notes in its range is not near as voluminous as from the higher notes. This cannot be compensated by blowing more air into the instrument. Moisture is building up quiet quickly inside the upper part of the instrument, requiring cleaning off regularly. Also for small hands, the lowest note are tricky to play, as well as the double holes can be challenging to cover effectively with thin fingers. Overall, the price reflects the quality. If one looks for good sound quality, plays frequently and/ or has small hands, this instrument is not the right choice.

This recorder makes a good noise especially for a plastic one. Very well priced.
