Thumb rest my friend

Once I slid the thumb rest on instead of pushing it over the body of the recorder; that weakened the thumb rest and eventually, it broke. So I bought a new thumb rest a no-brainer really. It makes a big difference in making the Recorder feel more secure whilst playing.

Thumb rests for recorders

The Triebert thumb rests work great. They fit various different models or makers of recorders. They are easy to reposition but are secure enough to stay in place without slipping.

Triebert plastic thumb rest

It works on a plastic recorder but there’s a sharp edge which will scratch a wooden one when sliding into place

Serviceable but uncomfortable 🥵. Ok for plastic recorders as they’re lightweight anything heavier is not comfortable at all.
