Our 29-string Minstrel Harp is a substantially built, Celtic lever harp. It is an ideal beginner instrument for people wanting to see how they get on playing the harp before investing in a more expensive, larger harp. It has a 4 octave range which requires less arrangement of music than smaller harps!

This harp is strung with nylon strings which produce a bright tone. It has low tension which is perfect for players who are worried about the strain on their fingers.

Our Minstrel harp has our new metal semi-tone levers on all the strings. These levers work well and even improve upon playing in the harp. It is made of beech with a laminated soundboard, has a painted Celtic design and traditional style carvings.

    New harp

    I used to have a clarsach, which I sold in 2020. I missed having a harp and I find this one an excellent replacement. Obviously it has many fewer strings but at 4 octaves it has a good range and is very much easier for me to transport. I had to have a car with an especially big boot to transport the clarsach! The harp arrived well packaged and service from EMS was excellent.

    A spur of the moment purchase because I was so impressed with this package. The harp sounds beautiful and importantly is made in the UK. The help received in the shop was excellent.

    Minstrel Harp

    Absolutely love my new harp! It sounds so beautiful even when played by a complete newbie like myself! It feels well made, is staying in tune well and the levers work perfectly. Couldn't be happier

    Heritage 29-String Minstrel

    It's a lovely little harp and was quite surprised with the levers, all changing by the required semi-tone. It's nice and light for taking out the house to play which was my main reason for purchasing as my Salvi Mia a little heavy for me. Took it to band last night and it was well received.

    Wonderful! So glad I bought this! (from a novice)

    The harp itself is a beautiful instrument, solid in construction and beautiful in the sound it produces. The accompanying booklet was pitched exactly as suited my needs (i.e. easy to understand:). And the fact that there is an electronic tuner, tuning key, spare strings and a case meant that you have everything you need to get started. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing my harp, but I am extremely happy with my decision to buy this bundle from EMS and very happily recommend them.
