I'm a beginner and this is my first bodhran, but it looks nice and sounds nice as well, the tipper feels good and the case is high quality considering the low cost. The only reason I give this drum 4 instead of 5 stars is because I lack the technical expertise to accurately judge the drum after owning it for such a short time
