A month with a lyre

Overall experience very good with a couple of small reservations. Quality of the woodwork is very good and the tuning pins are evenly set but the strings are not and need to be reset, not a hard task. The sound is bright this can be corrected by inserting a piece of ribbon between the strings and the metal bridge, this removes the hardness from the sound. The lyre is now a delight to hold and a pleasure to play and sounds well balanced and musical.
