INTRODUCING THE VIELLE

DOWNLOADBLE AUDIO CONTENT 

The pieces in this volume have been organised to offer players a path of increasing challenge. Although much of the selected repertoire is contemporaneous with the vielle, not all the pieces hail from its era. More recent arrangements have been included because they either suit the instrument or, through their ubiquity, offer players a familiar starting point. This flexible approach might reveal new facets of the instrument, serving as inspiration for further experimentation.
