Knick Tenor

I bought this instrument as arthritis in my hands is difficult playing a straight Tenor. It has a good strong tone and plays well in upper octaves. I personally find top C helps by adding the low C # fingering. Lovely instrument.

My first tenor, not my first Mollenhauer

This is my first tenor recorder. I have owned Mollenhauer instruments for 30 years, and the quality and value are exceptional. The sound is quite good, and I am enjoying the mellowness of the tone.

A pleasure to play

Since breaking my wrist a while ago, it had become difficult for me to reach the lower notes on my tenor recorder. First of all, I really recommend a knick recorder - it is so much easier to reach. I also recommend this recorder - it has a warm tone and mellow top notes that speak easily. I think it's very good value for money. One point though is that I have needed to get a thumb rest (a little plastic gismo that cost me £2.75 from my local music shop!) because when you hold the recorder straight down there is nothing for it to rest on when you need to move all your fingers at the same time. Get your thumb rest when you buy your recorder.
