Our 36-string Meghan Harp is a substantially built, Celtic lever harp. It is an ideal student instrument for people wanting to see how they get on playing the harp before investing in a more expensive, larger harp. It has a 5 octave range which requires less arrangement of music than smaller harps!

This harp is strung with nylon strings which produce a bright tone. It has low tension strings which is perfect for players who are worried about the strain on their fingers.

Our Meghan harp has metal semi-tone levers and the harp itself is made of ash with a laminated soundboard and back with a hand-carved Celtic design.

Silver Harp Bundle - 36 string Megan Harp

Positives A great instrumnent for those looking for a bigger harp, deeper tones and more bass notes. I also have the 22 string Heather harp which is more mobile and trebly but the Megan is complimentary to my smaller harp. My megan can be played without using a stand providing your chair is a suitable height. Negatives It's a little large to transport around easily and the semitone levers are made of mazac which is not so robust as the pressed steel variety. The curved back if the sounbdbox is a littleless robust than a flat one would be. Overal a lovely harp for those seeking a bigger instrument.

A beautiful harp for me, an absolute beginner!

This is an excellent-value harp -- the full range, so I can aspire to play most lever harp repertoire. Tuning is straightforward with the key and tuner supplied, and the levers are smooth and easy to use. I have named my harp "Gertie" (after the aeroplane in "Cabin Pressure", for those who know what I'm talking about). She is a beautiful addition to my living room and my life in general.

Heritage Meghan harp

Only bought the harp as I didn't need the rest, and I am absolutely delighted with her. I've named her Islay Mohr as she sounds so beautiful playing Scottish folk songs and laments (and I have lived in beautiful Scotland for over 30 years since uni). Only started playing harp in October last year having retired from piano teaching and love playing her 2 to 3 hr a day - thank heavens for Youtube teaching! 36 strings gives really good bass. Amazing value, metal levers work smoothly and non-wire strings give a rich, gentler sound and are easy on the fingers. Thank you EMS for such a beautiful affordable instrument. Oh, she looks great too!

Meghan is amazing

I love the harp and the whole bundle, it is exactly what I expected after reading the info online. The shop is very helpful over the phone as well whenever I have questions.
