Baroque Oboe

My Millyard Baroque Oboe is amazing. The craftsmanship is incredible and being at A440 pitch, I can play with a modern piano.

Simply the best

I play oboe in a folk context and I have lusted after a baroque oboe for some time. I chose a Tony Millyard one on the recommendation of two other people, and it is simply the best, in terms of looks, feel, sound, ease of playing and the sheer joy of knowing that it is a handmade instrument. Simply the best decision I have made this year!

Baroque Oboe in A440 by Tony Millyard

I have already emailed Tony to tell him how pleased I am with the instrument It is a thing of beauty. My only concerns with playing it are that I don’t do it justice and I don’t have time to do it enough.

Baroque Oboe

The oboe is a joy to hold and plays well. The tuning is consistent and tone mellow.
