Aquila Baroque Violin 1st/E Gut String

I've been using these strings since 2018. I use a light E as it adapts quickly and stays in tune well. It has a light sound and is very sensitive to the bow. I have used this string in extreme climates: Russia in winter in a dry freezing climate and Italy in summer when it is hot and humid. The light E string stays in tune well. The main disadvantage of a light E is that of course it snaps quickly, especially if there is a lot of passageways and detache playing on the E. However Aquila provide a double length and they are relatively cheap so I would certainly recommend this string. Just make sure you have spares!
