Recorder31 Day 29 | Friday Fun!

Recorder31 Day 29 | Friday Fun!

While we launched this weekend's Recorder31 Big Round-Up Sale earlier today, we also arrive at our final Friday Fun of this year's Recorder31. Today we ask you to put your brains to the test in our Recorder Logic Puzzle...

A recorder recital series is taking place in a stately home, but there has been an error with the printer and the pages for all of the programmes have gotten mixed up! Can you help the administrator work out which pieces of information should go together?

  1. The four performers are Alexis, the one playing the alto, the one playing the tenor and the one performing music from the renaissance.
  2. Doris' repertoire is not in an adjacent period to that of Alexis or Ben.
  3. The performances of the oldest and newest repertoire take place in rooms.
  4. Alexis and Doris have the smallest recorders.
  5. The great bass is not being played in the lavender room or the gallery.
  6. Ben's recital is in the library.
  7. Simon is not performing music from the renaissance onwards. Alexis mirrors this.
  8. The soprano is not used for the baroque recital, nor the alto for 20th century.

And finally, scroll down to view the answers of last week's Friday Fun, 'Recorder or Not?' – did you identify them correctly?!

As featured in this weekend's promotion as a Star Buy, the Mollenhauer Denner Edition Alto in Grenadilla is a high-quality instrument at the top of the Denner range. Its pure, powerful sound distinguishes it from the regular Denner model, and it is available in either a415 or a442, as heard here. Check out the audio clips below or follow this link to find out more about this instrument.
