Recorder31 Day 27 | An Interview with The Royal Wind Music
We are pleased to have an ongoing friendship with The Royal Wind Music following previous collaborations and the great Instagram takeovers they have done for us in the past. This year, the group are making a long-awaited return to the UK for the London International Festival of Early Music. So for today's Recorder31 feature, we caught up with them ahead of their concert in November.
The programme performed at LIFEM will be 'The Orange Tree Courtyard' which was released as an album in 2023. This fascinating programme is built around Renaissance music connecting to the Cathedral of Seville. We featured the album at the time of its release, and you can find out what we said about it by clicking here.
To find out more, we spoke to María Martínez Ayerza about the programme, which she curated. María spoke to Finn from The Early Music Shop to share her inspirations when putting the programme together, and other news from the world of The Royal Wind Music:
