About Recorder Festival 2025

We are delighted to announce that we will be bringing the recorder community together for the Recorder Festival 2025 in Saltaire, West Yorkshire, next summer! The festival is hosted in partnership with the Society of Recorder Players in place of their National Festival.
Saltaire has been a home for The Early Music Shop since we moved to the iconic Salts Mill site in 2007, and what better way to celebrate our longstanding relationship with the area by welcoming recorder players of all ages, backgrounds and levels to this beautiful corner of the world.
The festival will bring together playing sessions, workshops, performances and shopping opportunities. The main festival activities will take place in the Titus Salt School, which is just a short 5-minute drive (or 10-minute walk) from The Early Music Shop's showroom.
Regular attendees of the SRP National Festival will be familiar with many of the activities including a commissioned work and a range of guest conductors, but the joint venture will present new opportunities including a range of group workshops, performances and engagement with local schools.
The list of performers, conductors and tutors will include a who's-who of the recorder scene in the UK and further afield, including performances from Sarah Jeffery, Flanders Recorder Duo and Palisander.
