Early Music @ 1 - Friday 10th April

We're delighted to welcome back Fiona Kizzie Lee who is performing some wonderful medieval music on the organetto, or portative organ, for us.
The three pieces featured are "Quia ergo femina" by Hildegard von Bingen, "Ne say, que je die" from the Codex Montpellier and "Che ti çova nascondere" from the Rossi Manuscript.
Fiona is currently studying for a second master’s degree specialising in Renaissance Music at Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in the class of Corina Marti. She plays the recorder and medieval keyboards in groups such as La Fiamma and L’Artiste. Watch out for some more videos by Fiona in the next few weeks, and in the meantime you can find all upcoming concerts, recordings and more videos on her website

I have so much enjoyed the daily videos of early music being played on such a variety of instruments. The presentations have been so professional and the addition of pictures which illustrate the instrument focused being used in medieval/baroque period are so interesting and informative.
What skilled musicians there are! It has really been a wonderful addition to this extraordinary period of self isolation. Thank you so much to everyone who has put this together.
