The EMS 29 string Gothic Harp is an inexpensive, but substantially built gothic harp. This harp is an ideal instrument for those wanting to explore medieval music. This harp is ideally played on the lap.
The harp is made of beech with a laminated soundboard. The harp is nylon strung and is supplied with a padded canvas bag, tuning key and spare set of strings.

I want to thank EMS for my beautiful harp, a gothic 29-string harp. The first one, I got, was unfortunately damaged within transport. In only 4! days I have had a new one sent to Germany! after a very nice conversation with Anthony from customer service. I am very pleased with my harp. It has a good tension, keeps the tuning very quick and well, has a beautiful and very special sound. Highest octave has an astonishing and beautiful bell-like sound. In that price range you won’t find anything like this harp definitely! A great, padded cover is included as well. Highly recommend EMS and the gothic 29-strings harp. Thanks for the beautiful harp!
The new range in Ash - with light woods used throughout is a great improvement aesthetically! The harp may not have brays but it produces a distictively different sound from other types of small harps - with a feel and effect very similar to other Renaissance Harps I've played at six times the price! If you want to explore late medieval and early renaissance music without taking out a mortage I thoroughly recommend this! The 19 string version is also ideal for medieval music with a smaller sound but sweet. Wolfy O'Hare, Broadcaster, Hull.
