The 6-string Consort Bass Viol after Henry Jaye. This Henry Jaye bass viol has a longer string length making it particularly suitable as a consort bass instrument where a full, rich sound is required. This Lu-Mi viol is made from very high quality wood and combines excellent craftsmanship with a full, rich, rounded sound and a beautiful appearance. The ribs, back and neck are made of sycamore, the top of spruce, and the fingerboard and tailpiece of sycamore with ebony veneer or birds-eye maple. The wood is fully kiln-dried for stability.
