Ridiculously Useful!

This little book is invaluable for the beginning capped reed enthusiast. I live in an area that has very few music instructors of any kind, and there just aren't the online sources that one finds for more common instruments, such as the recorder. This book is an excellent primer, giving a small amount of information on everything that is needful to know - descriptions of instruments, breathing and articulation exercises, fingering charts for multiple types and ranges of instruments, tips on playing in an ensemble, and a brief rundown of care for your instruments. I also appreciate that the original German text is included, and placed parallel to the English translation - it provides an extra layer of explanation. All in all, this was an extraordinarily useful purchase, as it has provided a great deal of information which was just not available to me, a Crumhorn beginner, in any other place or form. Definitely worth the purchase!

Very helpful book

Really useful book especially as there is very little around to find. Nice to have a bit of history and information about the different instruments. Some good instructions on how to play the instruments with helpful exercises along with other useful information including about how to care for the instrument.
