Sopranino Recorder after Denner (a=415) by English maker Tim Cranmore. This instrument is based on a sopranino recorder attributed to Johann Christoph Denner (1655-1707), the son of Heinrich Denner, a turner of game whistles and hunting horns. His earlier instruments are renaissance in style, but about 1684 when new-style instruments were brought into Germany from France, Denner was quick to realise the advantage to be gained from adopting the new designs. His workmanship was of such quality that he soon gained fame beyond his own country. The original is in Basel, Switzerland and is made in ivory. Cranmore's copy is made from blackwood.

This recorder is supplied with a handmade blue roll case.
