A baroque oboe d'amore after Eichentopf at a=415 (baroque pitch) by English maker Tony Millyard, available in unstained or stained boxwood.

This oboe d’amore is after the Eichentopf model in the museum in Venice.  The oboe d’amore is in the key of A, sounding a minor third below the normal C oboe. Although used mainly for playing Bach cantatas and his sacred pieces they were also used by other composers of the early 18th Century.  It is made of boxwood* and comes supplied with a soft roll case, reed, reed case, fingering chart and a document on how to care for the oboe. The staple/bocal is made with a slight bend to bring the instrument to a more comfortable playing position and the doubled hole three is made slightly off centre to bring this hole more easily to hand.

This oboe d’amore is a fantastic instrument at an affordable price and has received excellent reviews.
