£154.17 excluding VAT (UK Export Price)

Immensely popular range of recorders originally designed by Friederich von Huene after models by Belgian maker Jean-Hyacinth-Joseph Rottenburgh (1672-1756). Versatile, reliable and used by all levels of players who enjoy instruments made to consistently high standards. They are without doubt the world's most successful recorder series and remain one of our best sellers. The Rottenburgh is the instrument of choice for those recorder players who wish to play music at an advanced level. It is a reliable instrument with a carrying tone, whether played in small or large ensembles. It also lends itself perfectly for solo pieces, e.g. for sonatas with basso continuo. The Rottenburgh is the ideal all rounder: reliable, balanced and with a full tone. Depending on the wood it has a warm full sound for ensemble playing and is beautifully clear and expressive as a solo instrument.

Buzzing on 'A'

Overall good but there is what I call a 'buzzing' on the 'A' note. However I'm only starting week three of the playing in process so time will tell whether it improves or not.

I'm very happy with this instrument. I played when I was younger on plastic instruments and one fairly inexpensive wooden one. I recently got back into playing after ordering this recorder in pearwood. To my ear the tone is warm and soft. The higher register remains soft with additional clarity and brightness that is very lovely and enjoyable to play. The case is also a plus.

Great “next step” recorder

Bought as the second recorder for my daughter, who has been playing nearly two years. She is very pleased with it. The service was great and the recorder arrived quickly.

Beautiful in sound and look

Beautiful sound, well made and being three piece is perfect for getting positioning of the holes exactly where short fingers need them.
