Comments from Shigeharu Hirao and Hiroyuki Takeyama

Recorders have undergone many improvements over a long period of time since the Renaissance, through the Baroque era, when they attained their present form. Baroque original instruments, including and represented by Bressan's, are regarded as the most exquisite intruments even today and that is our opinion too. This means that for this model G-1A, how faithfully we reproduce the original is the key aim. In order to acheive this aim, the degree of perfection and integrity of the original recorder that we based its design on are the vital factors - above all, it has to have a stable sound.

We believe that this newly developed G-1A is the best modern Bressan model that we can hope for, with all our experience and knowledge poured into it.

Zen-On G1A Bressan Alto Recorder

Lovely tone & intonation. The recorder has a nice tactile feel with comfortable hole positioning. A real pleasure to play. Zen-On attention to detail and design extends to the supplied carry case fitted with a big zip pull. Fantastic service again from EMS.

Excellent instrument

This recorder has a nice rich sound in the middle register, is bright and easy in the upper one and, as for the bottom, lower F has to be carefully blown. Unless tongue is conveniently depressed and air pressure is not too high, it will not come out clean. Then, it's just one note and once you become conscious of it , you hardly note this minor difficulty. Overall, an excellent instrument with a very good response, particularly when fast articulation is required. I like it better than my previous Yamaha (although this one has a fuller low F),

Excellent recorder with one minor flaw

Love this recorder, especially in the upper register where it does what's asked of it with no fuss. Good looking too. My only quibble is that the head joint is incredibly stiff - on one occasion (so far) it simply refused to come off. I don't understand why, but a couple of days later it came off, so there's no need to despair.

Both my husband and I are complete novices on the alto recorder and we're very happy with our recent purchase of two G1A Zen-On Bressan recorders!

Zen-On G1A Bressan Alto Recorder

Very happy with this recorder, nice even tone and good intonation. Holes spacing good for smaller hands as no uncomfortably large stretch. Would recommend.
