A new message to our customers
Many thanks to you all for your ongoing support of the Early Music Shop. Over the last month we have continued to bring you the very best in Early Music including live streams and recorder demos from Sarah Jeffery, a Lockdown Lute mini-series from Jacob Heringman, and bespoke offers for music stands, instrument kits, and viols. In June our plans include more live performance and demonstrations, a Father’s Day feature, and a series of flash sales & offers. Please stay tuned to the usual channels.
We appreciate that making an investment in a musical instrument isn’t always easy online, particularly for stringed instruments. For that reason we are offering a comprehensive approval scheme detailed here, and we are also beginning a ‘by appointment’ service for individual visitors to our Saltaire showroom, which you can book in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Just tell us what you want to try and when and we’ll be pleased to welcome you!
Finally we are delighted to tell you that on Sunday 14th June & Monday 15th June BBC Radio 3 will be broadcasting excerpts from the 2019 London International Festival of Early Music. Do listen in by following these links:
Highlights from the 2019 London International Festival of Early Music, including performances by lutenist Elizabeth Kenny, recorder player Olwen Foulkes, soprano Tinka Pypker with fortepianist Anders Muskens, and ensembles Palisander, Solomon's Knot, Parandrus and the Chethams Early Music Ensemble.
Tom McKinney introduces a selection of items recorded at last year’s London International Festival of Early Music from lutenist Elizabeth Kenny, the Parandrus Ensemble, Chetham’s School of Music and Solomon’s Knot.
In the meantime thank you again for your support and stay well!
